HIGH SCHOOL WORK EXPERIENCE

Up to 12 work experience placements are available at Queensland Theatre Company during the year. These placements are for students in Years 11 and 12 only. Some of the activities during work experience include:

• Observing rehearsals
• Attending production meetings
• Discussions with actors, directors and production staff
• Assisting departments such as Wardrobe, Marketing and Education

Applications close on 16 March for the first round of 2012 placements. Second round applications close 15 June. A maximum of 5 students will be accepted in both rounds. To ensure your placement please submit your application as early as possible.

UNIVERSITY SECONDMENTS

Queensland Theatre Company has secondment opportunities for university students in the final year of their undergraduate degree, or studying honours or masters. Students can be on placement at the Company anywhere between three to ten weeks, depending on the student’s course requirements. These secondments are for students who are interested in gaining industry experience from industry professionals in the following areas:

• Dramaturgy and rehearsal observation
• Arts administration
• Stage management
• Set and costume design
• Lighting
• Sound
