Teacher Professional Development Opportunities in 2012

Three workshops will further teachers’ skills in Theatre and Drama, working with experienced professional artists:

Indigenous Theatre

• Approaches to and working with Indigenous texts
• Exploring and approaching Indigenous themes and issues
• Heritage and contemporary Indigenous texts, performance and storytelling
• Optional Add On – See a performance of Bloodland or Windmill Baby

Directing with Jennifer Flowers

• The director’s process and approaches to texts and performance styles
• Rehearsal approaches
• Working with performers and building an ensemble
• Optional Add On – See a performance of Romeo and Juliet

Cost: $165 (Full day)

Inter-disciplinary Physical Performance with Polytoxic Dance Theatre

• Contemporary and street dance styles
• Fusing Traditional dance styles and approaches to physical performance
• Characters and dance
