Artists in Residence is a flexible workshop program that has been designed for schools to access professional artists delivering workshops that are connected to the curriculum.

These workshops, with artists who specialise in a particular style of performance, can be planned specifically to suit your needs in:

• Physical theatre
• Indigenous theatre
• Shakespeare
• Brecht
• Theatre of the Absurd
• Devising original theatre
• Cross cultural performance
• Theatre of the Absurd
• Commedia dell ‘arte
• Voice
• Gothic theatre
• Realism

Your residency could be:

• A two hour workshop in curriculum areas
• A full day workshop in curriculum areas
• A number of workshops over a few weeks, directing students to build a performance
• Five full days of  workshops, devising new work with students for a performance outcome

Cost of Residencies in 2012*:

Brisbane schools located up to 1 hour from Brisbane city:

Up to 2 hours: $300 – $450
2 – 4 hours: $400 – $699
Full Day: $600 – $900
Full Week: $1,750 – @2,500
*Cost is variable depending on the artist contracted and travel time invovled.

Brisbane schools located 1 – 2 hours from Brisbane city:

Up to 2 hours: $600 – $900 (Artists need to be contracted for 1 full day to include travel time)
2 – 4 hours: $600 – $900 (Artists need to be contracted for 1 full day to include travel time)
Full day: $800 – $1000
Full Week: $2,000 – $2,750
