Queensland Theatre Company commonly holds two rounds of auditions each year, graduate auditions and open general auditions. Upcoming auditions periods are:

Graduate Auditions
Graduates of the current year from a recognised tertiary course many only apply for these auditions. Applications for our November 2012 (date to be confirmed) auditions open 6 August 2012 and close on 31 October 2012.

Open General Auditions
General auditions are a way of ‘getting to know’ actors. They are not auditions for specific roles in our play production season.Anyone may apply for an open audition, but places are quite limited and preference is given to actors with recent professional experience. Applications for our 26-30 March 2012 general auditions open on 9 January 2012 and close on 24 February 2012.

Late applications cannot be accepted. Applications may be submitted by mail or email addressed to the Artistic Officer. Send a CV, headshot and covering letter, simply paper clipped together, not stapled, bound or in folders, indicating for which Audition round you would like to be considered for. Do not send other material.

To be eligible you must be:
• 18 or over
• locally based; and
• able to demonstrate a sufficient degree of training or experience to be considered for work in a professional theatre company.

If you have been seen in an audition for the Company in the last 3 or 4 years, or if we have seen your work locally, you may not need to attend a general audition.
