Queensland Theatre, one of the major performing arts companies in Australia, is seeking a dynamic and experienced senior level marketer to join the leadership team during an exciting period of expansion and reinvention.
Reporting to the Executive Director, your role will be to execute the marketing plan and deliver customer-orientated and innovative marketing and communication strategies to drive box office sales and patronage.
You will have demonstrated success in driving brand promotion, recognition and loyalty, with high-level experience in campaign management and business development, necessary to manage a variety of multiple projects. You will have an in-depth understanding of needs, attitudes and behaviours of target markets, and will undertake market research and analysis to ensure return on investment across all marketing functions and projects. You will bring solid marketing and CRM perspectives and strategies into decision-making and planning.
As manager of the marketing and ticketing team, you will lead, work collaboratively and foster an environment for professional excellence and cohesion, directing the team’s activities with confidence. You will have a proven history of developing and delivering integrated marketing and communications across all mediums, to increase patronage and revenue and encourage stakeholder engagement.
The successful applicant will display a mature approach with highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. Your communication skills, attention to detail, superior management and organisational skills and an ability to work autonomously will see you succeed.
To be considered for this position, you must have extensive, proven success in a similar capacity within a marketing or communications role. Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or similar discipline, with at least five years’ experience at a senior level, preferably in a performing arts environment, is essential. Experience in CRM and an understanding of ticketing systems is desirable.

Front of House- Bar Team
We are on the search for some new bar team members to come join our spectacular FOH team at Queensland Theatre, working in our Foyer bar for our Pre and Post shows.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing friendly, competent and efficient food/beverage counter/customer service
- Product knowledge
- Monitoring front of house cleanliness and appearance
- Taking orders and operating the Point of Sales System/ Eftpos.
- Food Prep
- Opening and closing bar procedures as required
- Available to work weekdays/weekends and nights
Skills and experience:
- You will have had at least 2-3 years’ experience in food and beverage role.
- Great customer service skills
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment and multitask
- Current RSA certificate
